GroundSwell Gallery, located east of Denver’s capitol brings the work of local, contemporary, local artists to the Bluebird District along East Colfax Avenue. It’s mission is to support emerging professional artists by providing exhibition opportunities and to promote the growth of the Denver art community.
It began its venture in April, 2011 with a proposal by Rebecca Peebles and Danette Montoya to incorporate a gallery in the building on 3121 E. Colfax then opening as GroundSwell Cannabis Boutique. The Gallery’s partnership in GroundSwell encourages community engagement and enhancement while providing a publicly accessible forum for cultural growth.
