Statement from the Curator
Tony’s collection of paintings for “water and wood” illustrate for us the crisp, color-saturated world of dreams. These works are windows to fantastical places of curiousity and adventure. Without having been there, it is possible to recognize the warmth and brightness of “home.” Like approaching a mountain cabin through a magical forest, one might imagine the bright anticipation of retreat to a place still surrounded and inhabited by nature’s innocence and mischief.
Tony Zellaha lives and works in Denver, CO.
He holds a BFA in Art and Graphic Design from Colorado State University.
